Ronald A. D'Innocenzo, 76, of Franklin and former long-time resident of Newton, passed away at his home on August 19th, 2024. He was the son of the late Ernest D'Innocenzo (Mobile) and the late Jane D'Innocenzo Lombardo.

He is survived by his two brothers, William D'Innocenzo and Robert D'Innocenzo, and their spouses Rosie and Stephanie. Beloved father to daughter Michelle Moniz (daddy's girl) and son-in-law Joel Moniz; and his son Ron D'Innocenzo Jr. Loving grandfather to Jared Elliott and his companion Rebecca. Along with many other family and friends.

Ron, at the age of 19, proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorable discharged. He was a marine sniper and went on to fight in the Vietnam War. He received the National Defense Service Metal, the Vietnamese Service Medal, and the rifle sharp shooter badge.

After his service, he went on to a lifelong career driving trucks for his family's business mobile excavating. The best part of his day was getting into his work truck and enjoying a large hot black coffee with breakfast. He cherished the simple things in life.

He was a jack of all trades. From driving trucks to plumbing to carpentry, the list goes on and on. He could fix absolutely anything. He was a fantastic guitar player who loved music. Ron was also a state firearms instructor for many years and absolutely loved going to the range. He appreciated a good cigar and relaxing in his chair. Most of all, Ron enjoyed a good meal while spending time with his family (he loved a good meatball just like nana made).

He will be greatly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Tuesday August 27th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10AM.

Interment with military honors will follow at Newton Cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday Aug. 26th, from 5-7PM.
