The GoFundMe page says it all: "Shelly was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in Feb. She started chemo right away, had a major 10.5 hr surgery in April, & is currently back in the hospital with complications from the medications & surgery.
"This entire time, Shelly has continued to work as much as she can to provide for her family. (Shelly is the sole provider for their family of 8.) She unfortunately has now run out of sick time, vacation time/pay, and savings"
In a Saturday report, Boston 25 added some details....Shelly Sepulveda and wife Tami have been together for 22 years. Along with Shelly’s biological son Sam, the two have fostered more than 20 infants who were all born drug-exposed, as well as a child who had cancer.
Tami has been unable to work for some time due to serious back problems. Shelly had been employed by Steward prior to their bankruptcy.
