To celebrate McDonald's 50th anniversary of partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities, local owner operators extended the Shamrock Shake fundraiser to six weeks this year, with $0.25 from each shake sold going directly to support families with children who are receiving critical care in local hospitals.
Operators in communities here in Massachusetts, as well as across New Hampshire and Rhode Island helped raise $124,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England during the six-week Shamrock Shake fundraising window this year. This money helps keep families close while they access critically needed pediatric healthcare at the best hospitals in the country right here in New England.
The Franklin McDonald's was one of the top performing restaurants.
“Since its inception 50 years ago, Ronald McDonald House Charities has made a significant impact on countless members of our communities. McDonald’s owner/operators across New England are proud to support their RMHC chapters through numerous initiatives including Shamrock Shake,” said Rich Hogan, local Owner/Operator in Franklin. “Proceeds from each shake we sell helps keep families close to their loved ones during times of need at our local hospitals," he added.
“The Shamrock Shake holds a special place in my heart, as it played a pivotal role in funding the very first Ronald McDonald House over 50 years ago,” said Lauren Hoops-Schmieg, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of New England. “We are incredibly grateful to our McDonald’s Owner/Operators, their teams, and loyal customers for their continued support. The funds raised help provide critical resources to families facing pediatric medical crises, ensuring they have the care and support they need during challenging times.”
