FRANKLIN: Patricia Anne Geran

Patricia Anne Geran of Franklin, Patricia Anne Geran, died peacefully, on August 25, after a year-long battle with strokes. Patty was born and raised in Holyoke. She came to the Boston area in her thirties to follow her dream. She earned a summa cum laude degree from Suffolk University, then a law degree from Boston College. Her principal legal practice was her passionate criminal defense of the poor and underserved. She is survived by her sons, Joel, Jonathan and Matthew; her daughter, Lisa; her brothers, William and David; and her grandchildren, Zoe, Bianca, Benjamin, Joshua, Teagan and Jack. She is also survived by her loving companions, George and Tony. Despite many health problems, Pat Geran lived her life with courage and passion. She improved the lives of the people she loved.
