[Last week the Observer heralded the sudden development of a competitive race for a Board of Health slot, with two write-in candidates. We presented information on Diane Daddario, MD but did not have information at that time on Christine Mucciarone. Now we do!]

To all my Franklin Friends and Resident's,

I posted this notice the other day on our All about Franklin page and our Vote Franklin Page . I am hoping to reach as many people as possible between now and Election Day to keep my name and intentions known .

My name is Christine Mucciarone and I am writing here today to express an interest in a position on The Board of Health .

I saw at the time I originally wrote my intentions , there wasn’t a candidate listed to run for one of their open positions . I sat and discussed with my husband at what could be a great opportunity to be able to give back to our town in some capacity.

So please let me tell you a little about myself .

I am basically a life long Franklin resident, a “townie” , born and raised here with the exception of living in Westwood for couple of years when we were first married .

I attended Franklin schools , St. Marys Parochial School then Franklin High School graduating in 1974. I am married to my high school sweetheart Mark . We have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren ages 4 months to 22 years old .

Professionally, I retired in 2022 from Metrowest Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist with over 35 years of experience : A medical field that has meant the world to me . Having seen first hand from the advancements in medical sciences to the vast improvements and availability of various respiratory medications for my patients . I am so proud to have had that opportunity to experience that field and care for a multitude of patients from neonatals to geriatric patients . I also witnessed first hand the challenges of Covid, how everyday , virtually every hour the changes in the protocols for managing the care of our critically ill patients would change . We needed to be familiar with and keenly aware of these protocols and policies changes as the crisis evolved .

I believe one is never “too old” to be learning something new and with that in mind , I hope becoming a member on the Board of health if I am so fortunate to be elected , I would learn from fellow members how the concerns of our town and the Board's mission is handled .

I want to be able to give back to our community in some capacity and this I truly believe is the perfect opportunity.

So I ask as you, as you go to the polls on Nov 4th to please consider me. I would be so honored if you were to write my name in as a “write-in candidate “ for a position with The Board of Health. I promise to give my very best to the Board , its members and most importantly my fellow Franklin residents.

Best of Luck to all the Candidates running for all the open positions in this upcoming election.

Again, a sincerest Thank you for your time, support and consideration .

A very proud , fellow Franklin resident ,

Christine Mucciarone
