Tri-County RVTHS has announced that the school recently received a Skills Capital Grant, which has been used to enhance our Automotive Technology and Medical Careers programs.
With this funding, the school has invested in cutting-edge tools – including new electric vehicle simulators and hybrid vehicle for hands-on training in modern automotive systems and a Antomage Table, a state-of-the-art digital anatomy lab that brings medical learning to life. These exciting additions ensure that students gain real-world, industry-relevant experience and are fully prepared to meet the demands of today’s rapidly evolving job market.
The Skills Capital Grant Program awards grants for the purchase and installation of equipment to support vocational and technical training. These equipment upgrades aim to expand career technical education and training programs that are aligned to regional economic and workforce development priorities for in-demand industries, providing students training for career opportunities in high-skill, high-demand industry sectors.
Since 2015, 538 Skills Capital Grants totaling $204 million have been awarded to different schools and educational institutions across the Commonwealth, with many organizations receiving multiple grants over the years.
