To the Editor:
Preparations are underway for the 44th Annual Franklin July 4th Celebration. It’s hard to believe that we’re now 1/2 way to the 4th and six months away from our nation’s 250th anniversary.
The Fiesta Shows will be returning to Franklin again and their popular rides and games will begin on Wednesday, July 1st and run through Sunday, July 5th.
We are still finalizing plans for the fireworks celebration at Franklin High School - stay tuned for the final date and time.
The 6th Annual Mike Crandall Franklin Blues Festival will be held on Saturday, July 4th and will feature international performers Richiman & Groove Nice from Seoul, South Korea, and Roberto Morbioli from Verona, Italy. We will also welcome back Sugar Ray and the Bluetones to the Town Common and are excited to host Texas native Darrell Nulisch for the first time in Franklin. If you missed Richiman & Groove Nice in 2025 you need to catch this upbeat trio who are visiting from almost 7,000 miles away while on their East Coast tour.
There will be more than 20 musical acts over the five day event and several local artists will be on stage, including Matt and Tyler Zajac from the Zajac Brothers Band, who will be performing Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti on Thursday, July 2nd.
Local non-profit organizations Franklin Rod & Gun Club, Franklin Democratic Town Committee, and Franklin 4th of July Coalition will provide a variety of food options for carnival goers this summer and the Fiesta Shows will offer many midway favorites.
Please visit www.franklin4th.com for future updates or if you would like to volunteer or donate to the celebration.
Thanks,
