For over 20 years, DCU for Kids has provided a scholarship program to assist high school seniors in pursuit of higher education. DCU for Kids is the non-profit charitable foundation of DCU, a division of First Technology Federal Credit Union, with a large branch on West Central Street in Franklin (above).
To date, DCU has awarded over $2.1 million dollars in scholarships through this annual program.
Students who will be attending a state or nationally accredited college or university in the fall of 2026 are now able welcome to apply* for the DCU for Kids Annual Memorial Scholarships. 2026 Scholarships awarded for 2026 will range in amounts from $1,500 to $2,500.
Recipients are chosen by an impartial panel of business professionals and collegiate educators who base their decisions on scholastic achievement, community involvement, leadership skills, character and integrity, recommendation letters, and an essay submitted by the student.
Applications and all supporting materials must be submitted electronically through the DCU for Kids Online Scholarship Portal by Friday, March 6, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. (ET).
Any materials received after the deadline date listed above will not be considered for review. Scholarship winners will be notified in late April 2026 by email.
