FRANKLIN: Linda J. Stapin

Linda J. (Walton) Stapin, 84, of Franklin, MA passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence A. Stapin, and the loving mother of Scott M. Stapin and his wife. Marlene of Rochester, NH, and Gary W. Stapin and his wife, Nancy of Franklin, MA. She leaves her cherished 3 grandchildren Jack Stapin, Amanda Stapin, Jenna Stapin and 2 great-grandchildren Maya and Hunter.

Linda was born in Waltham, MA on May 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Wesley T. and Elinor R. (Patten) Walton and the sister of the late Kenneth Walton, Donald Walton, Douglas Walton and Carol Connolly.

Linda was a resident of Franklin formerly of Bellingham, Medfield and Newton. She was a graduate of Newton High School Class of 1960. She worked as a secretary for CIBA Corning in Medfield for many years. She was a member of the Bellingham Senior Center. Devoted to her family, she will be greatly missed.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 5th at Cartier’s Funeral Home, 151 So. Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, MA with visiting time from 11AM to 12PM followed by a Prayer Service at 12PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private at the family lot at the Newton Cemetery.
