Above, departing Franklin TV Executive Director Pete Fasciano and incoming Executive Director Liz Harkins give a thumbs up Saturday afternoon during the station's annual meeting and 'block party.' Harkins previously ran the Wrentham cable station. The annual meeting members voted additional three-year terms for four members of the organization's board of directors.

Wed. 9/2 Partridge Street Closure in Franklin

On 9/2/26, Partridge Street will
be closed to through traffic from Maple Street to Dover Circle from
9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The DPW crew will be paving the area of the water
break between Hancock Street and Dover Circle.

Note: All school buses/vans will be allowed to pass through.

Flu Clinic Planned in Franklin

The Franklin Health Department is hosting a FREE Flu Clinic on Tuesday, September 22, from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at the Franklin Senior Center (10 Daniel McCahill St, Franklin, MA). CPR Class Planned in Franklin

The Franklin Fire and Health Department is offering a FREE Hands-Only CPR instructional class on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 4:00–5:30 PM.

Participants
will learn how to recognize cardiac arrest and act quickly and
effectively by performing Hands-Only CPR. The class includes hands-on
practice and provides important skills that could help save a life.

Creepy Bellingham Burglar Arrested

The Bellingham Police
Department has announced that a suspect has been identified and
arrested in connection with recent breaking & entering
investigations [see previous reporting]. They credited the hard work of their departments as
well as the Boston and Lakeville office of the FBI, and the Norfolk
County Police Anti-Crime Taskforce (NORPAC) detectives and the
Woonsocket Police Department, led to the identification and location
of the suspect. Ht was taken into custody without incident in
Woonsocket on Tuesday and will face extradition to Massachusetts to
face multiple felony charges in Milford District Court. The case
remains under investigation. The identify of the suspect is expected
to be released at arraignment.
