Nearly five years after the December 2021 day when Owen allegedly broke into his ex-wife's Franklin home, brutally assaulting his former mother in law and beating his ex-wife Shirley to death, before then allegedly setting the property ablaze, a trial date -- in June of 2027 -- is finally on the calendar.
The date emerged from yet another hearing, this one conducted on election day. According to a Boston 25 report, Owen will be required to appear on Nov. 16 and then the matter will finally move to trial. Owen is on his fourth attorney and at least his third judge.
He has been held without bail at the Norfolk County Jail in Dedham.
