James Maverick Pace departed this life on September 22, 2021 in Franklin, MA, after a brief illness.

He was born June 15, 1973 to James Mallory and Debbie Thompson Pace. Maverick grew up in Logansport, LA and was a graduate of Logansport High School. He graduated from Tulane University and attended Dartmouth College. He worked as a systems analyst for the information technology industry for several firms in the Northeast.

Maverick was preceded in death by his daughter Sophie Pace.

He is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Pace of Melissa, TX and Olivia Pace of Holliston, MA; his fiancée Natasha Stewart and her children Juliet and Duncan of Scituate, MA; his parents James Pace of Fayetteville, AR and Debbie Silver and her husband Lawrence of Melissa, TX. He was the grandson of Thomas D. Thompson of Fort Worth, TX. Brother of Jeremy Pace and wife Kandy of Fayetteville, AR, Christopher “Kit” Pace and his wife Julie of Houston, TX; step-brothers of Andrew Silver and his wife Stephanie of Driftwood, TX and Scott Silver and his partner Emily of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 8, 2021 at 6 PM at the Melissa United Methodist Church, 3851 McKinney St, Melissa, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 401 Gum St, Logansport, LA 71049 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
