Gubernatorial Candidate, Wrentham's Chris Doughty Visited Franklin Carnival Sunday
Pleasant weather, a bigger-than-ever Franklin Carnival -- and plenty of food choices, again brought large crowds to the common -- and candidates for two of the top offices in the Commonwealth.
Wrentham businessman, Chris Doughty, who is running for Governor, was the first to arrive and spent time visiting local food booths, talking to Democrats and Republicans alike. Kim Driscoll, mayor of Salem, who is part of a crowded field aiming for the state's number two job, also made the rounds later in the day as did Medway's Paul Yorkis, who is running for Norfolk County Commissioner, a position usually won by candidates from the highly-populated eastern part of the county.
Monday, the final day of the Franklin Carnival, begins at noon.
