In a July 18 Facebook post, the Franklin Police Department welcomed Marciano Silva to the department. According to FPD, Officer Silva is a transfer from the Sutton Police Department. Officer Silva has also worked for the New Bedford Police Department where he worked in the gang and narcotics unit. Marciano is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish. He is currently assigned to field training and will join patrol in the coming weeks.
