It was a rough start to the morning on Tuesday at the Forge Park Y.

According to Franklin Deputy Fire Chief, Joseph Barbieri, Engine 2 and Ambulance 2 were dispatched to 45 Forge Hill Road at 7:46am for a medical emergency, which he described as a child injured on a hook that was mounted to a tree.

New England Fire News, which monitors emergency channels, put it more graphically, and said the seven-year old girl had actually been impaled through her armpit on the hook.

Barbieri said  Franklin Ambulance 2 transported the child to Children's Hospital in Boston. And, according to New England Fire News, three medics accompanied her.

The Franklin Police also responded to the scene.
