Leslie Baker (midfielder, '24), Cate Lynch (co-captain, midfielder, '24), and Keira Pek (goalie, '25), led the soccer team at Montrose School, a private all-girls school in Medfield, MA, to become champions of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Championship (NEPSAC) Class D. They advanced through the quarterfinals on Saturday, November 19, defeating Lexington Christian Academy (LCA), 8-1, with both Cate and Leslie scoring 2 goals each, before the finals on Sunday, November 20.
In a bitter cold, the girls played a hard fought battle against a very physical St Andrews School, Barrington, RI, team. Tied 0-0 at halftime, Leslie, Cate, and the rest of the field players dug deep, scoring 4 goals in the second half. Keira made multiple saves on breakaways, allowing only 1 goal on the way to a 4-1 victory.
