Brendon Owen (above), the man charged in the beating death of his ex in Franklin two years ago was supposed to finally face trial on Dec. 15 after innumerable delays. However, we now hear that his attorney's request for a continuance to a later date has been granted.
Although a reader tells us that many of the trucks shooed away from Chilson Beach by town officials on Wednesday, have now set up shop near the Stop & Shop, another say several are still hanging out 'at the beach.'

Lane between Holliston Street and Algonquin Avenue in Medway was shut down for
several hours on Tuesday due to a truck overturning. The road opened back up shortly after 1 p.m. according
to reports.
