The Conlon family sadly announces the peaceful passing of Eileen M. Conlon, age 102 in Rockport, Massachusetts. Eileen was born to Trygvue A. Miller and Florence H. (Fallon) Miller on March 1, 1920, in Roslindale, Massachusetts. She graduated from Assumption Academy, Wellesley, MA in 1937 and continued to secretarial school in Boston. On December 7, 1943, she married her lifelong love, J. David Conlon in Norfolk, Virginia. In the postwar years they began their life together settling in Franklin, MA. Eileen ‘s unselfish love for animals resulted in a home always occupied by dog and cat family members. Her love for music and dance from her youth carried into adulthood. She persuaded Dave to begin square dancing. “Just try it once” and so began 40 years of dancing the Squares and Rounds.

Eileen is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Dave and infant child, Jacqueline E. Conlon. She is survived by her two children, Richard D. Conlon and his life partner Kitty Murphy-Cunningham of Rockport, MA and Marilyn E. Conlon, MD, PhD, FAPA, FASAM of Traverse City, Michigan. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Sean D. Conlon of Brighton, Ryan P. Conlon and his wife Jessica Hansen-Conlon of Ipswich and Willow A.F. and Hunter G.H. Conlon of Traverse City, Michigan. Additionally surviving her are two great grandchildren, Liam and Daniel and a step-great grandchild, Ethan Hansen, all of Ipswich. She is also survived by two former daughters-in-laws, Kathleen E. Marshall of Beverly, MA and Mary T. Choate-Conlon of Milford, MA.

The family is eternally grateful for the compassionate and loving care she received from the staff of Oceanside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rockport, MA and Care Dimensions in Danvers, MA.

Family and friends are kindly invited to her visitation on Wednesday, December 7th from 10 to 12 noon at the Conte - Giamberardino Funeral Home, 14 Pleasant Street, Georgetown. Private Graveside Services will be held at the Forest Hills Cemetery, Jamaica Plains.
