Leon Daniel Pisani, age 79, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Leon D. and Rose (DeBaggis) Pisani.
Leon was born in Milford, MA on August 3, 1943. He was raised in Franklin, MA and was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1961. Leon proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Iron Workers Local #7 and later owner of an open-shop steel erection contracting business.
He and his adored wife Beth were married in Wrentham on September 27, 1969, where they resided for 43 years prior to moving to Brewster, MA followed by Sarasota, FL.
Leon loved reminiscing about all his childhood memories and friends from Franklin. Leon and Beth settled in Wrentham to raise their family. Leon was one of the instrumental people that started the Wrentham youth soccer program and championed the construction of the Sweat Field baseball complex where he passionately loved coaching and a field remains dedicated in his name. He loved spending time with friends fishing at the Cape Cod Canal, boating, and digging clams in Chatham. Leon took great pride in teaching his sons the iron working business and mentoring countless others. While living in Brewster, he worked tirelessly obtaining doners for the Brewster Whitecaps and sometimes just mowing the fields for the team. And last, but not least, while settling down in snow and ice-free Sarasota, he enjoyed sitting in his recliner with his sweet dog, Ellie, while watching Fox News.
Beloved husband of Beth (Barrows) Pisani. Brother of the late Dennis Pisani and his wife Jeanne, loving father of Glen Pisani (Susan) of Wrentham, Dana Pisani and Lonnie Lozzi of Franklin, and adoring grandfather of Ava and Ella Pisani and Roman and Spencer Pisani.
No funeral or memorial Service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
