Here is a list of the notable events from the past week

Note: Some incidents may have been omitted to preserve victims of certain crimes and ongoing investigations. Some addresses may not be specified but instead referred to by their street name. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

2/12/2023

Larceny

Pond Street

On Sunday, 2/12/2023 at approximately 11:53 am an Officer took a report of a larceny

and damage to a motor vehicle. A resident of Pond Street reported the catalytic

converter was stolen off their car earlier in the week. An investigation was opened.

2/13/2023

Motor Vehicle Violation/Arrest

762 Washington Street

On Monday, 2/13/2023 at approximately 11:34 am an Officer was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of 762 Washington Street when they observed a motor vehicle violation. After an investigation it was determined the operator of the vehicle had an active warrant for their arrest. In addition to the warrant, the operator John DaRosa, a 33-year-old Pawtucket, RI resident was arrested and charged with:

Well-Being Check

Bald Hill Drive

On Monday, 2/13/2023 at approximately 4:45 pm Officers responded to the area of Bald Hill Drive for a report on an elderly male who walked to a residence that was not his. Officers reunited the man with his family and provided the family with services including silver alert information.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Forge Hill Road @ Grove Street

On Monday, 2/13/2023 at approximately 7:30 pm Officers responded Forge Hill Road at Grove Street for a minor two car crash. No injuries were reported, and a crash report was completed.

2/14/2023

Missing Motor Vehicle

Milliken Avenue

On Tuesday, 2/14/2023 at approximately 2:32 am Officers responded to a residence on Milliken Avenue for a report of a missing motor vehicle. It was reported the vehicle was being operated by a person who did not have authority to do so. The vehicle was later returned.

Fraud

Independence Way

On Tuesday, 2/14/2023 at approximately 5:20 pm an Officer took a report of fraud from a residence on Independence Way. It was reported the victim sent money via the CashApp for a product, but the product was never delivered. An investigation was opened.

Threats

Stone Ridge Road

On Tuesday, 2/14/2023 at approximately 9:50 pm an Officer took a report of threats. The reporting party stated they were being blackmailed after sending pictures to a person they did not know on Snapchat. The anonymous person was demanding money in exchange for not posting the original pictures. An investigation was opened.

Motor Vehicle Violation

Washington Street

On Tuesday, 2/14/2023 at approximately 11:36 pm an Officer was conducting traffic enforcement at Washington Street by Ivy Lane. The Officer observed a motor vehicle violation and stopped the vehicle. After a brief investigation, the operator of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Woonsocket, RI resident was charged with:

Motor Vehicle Violation/Arrest

Washington Street

On Wednesday, 2/15/2023 at approximately 11:20 am an Officer was conducting traffic enforcement at Washington Street by King Street. The Officer observed a motor vehicle violation and stopped the vehicle. After a brief investigation, the operator of the vehicle, Anthony Harris, a 30-year-old Dorchester resident was arrested for:

-Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License

-Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle

2/16/2023

Civil Dispute

Worsted Street

On Thursday, 2/16/2023 at approximately 7:01 am Officers responded to a residence on Worsted Street for a report of a tenant/landlord dispute. It was determined the matter was civil in nature an all parties were referred to civil court.

Fraud

Dean Avenue

On Thursday, 2/16/2023 at approximately 10:46 am an Officer took a report of fraud from a resident of Dean Avenue. It was reported the victim’s information was used to potentially open a car loan. An investigation was opened.

Civil Dispute

535 East Central Street Enterprise

On Thursday, 2/16/2023 at approximately 3:21 pm an Officer responded to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car for a report of a civil dispute. There was a disagreement overdamage to a rented vehicle. It was determined the matter was civil in nature an all parties were referred to civil court.

Motor Vehicle Crash into a House

Michelles Way

On Thursday, 2/16/2023 at approximately 3:48 pm Officers responded to a Michelles Way for a report of a motor vehicle crash into a house. It was reported a vehicle was parked across the street at a residence when the vehicle began rolling downhill, across the street, when it struck a neighboring house. A crash investigation was opened.

533 West Central Street

On Thursday, 2/16/2023 at approximately 7:49 pm Officers responded to the area of 533 West Central Street for a two-car motor vehicle crash with air bag deployment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and one party was transported to the hospital.

2/17/2023

Road Rage/Shooting

Washington Street

On Friday, 2/17/2023 at approximately 5:15 pm Officers responded to the area of Washington Street by the Bellingham town line for a report of a road rage incident involving a firearm. In partnership with the Bellingham MA Police, it was determined a road rage incident occurred in Franklin where a suspect fired a firearm at another vehicle and fled from the scene. There were no reported injuries. An investigation was opened.

Road Rage

600 West Central Street

On Friday, 2/17/2023 at approximately 6:57 pm an Officer took a report of a road rage incident that occurred on 495 and onto West Central Street. An investigation was opened.

2/18/2023

Motor Vehicle Hit and Run

Franklin Village Mall

On Saturday, 2/18/2023 at approximately 4:01 pm Officers responded to the Franklin Village Mall for a past motor vehicle hit and run. It was reported the vehicle that took off left a note on the other vehicle. An investigation was opened.

Larceny

348 East Central Street Big Y

On Saturday, 2/18/2023 at approximately 4:50 pm an Officer took a report of a past larceny which occurred over the course of the last month totaling $1,600 in stolen goods. An investigation was opened.

Disorderly Disturbance

Fletchers Field

On Saturday, 2/18/2023 at approximately 5:52 pm Officers responded to Fletchers Field for a report of a disorderly disturbance. A dog fight was reported which resulted in both dog owners arguing with one another. One party, a 63-year-old Franklin resident was charged with:

-Threats to Commit a Crime

-Assault

-Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (shod foot)

Threats

Emmons Street

On Saturday, 2/18/2023 at approximately 11:01 pm an Officer took a report of threats.
