She immigrated with her family from Italy to the United States in February of 1948. Her parents made their family home in Franklin, MA, where Adelia attended school and graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1950. At the age of 60, she found an interest in hair cutting and became a hairdresser for Best Cuts in South Attleboro, MA where she took care of her clients for 18 years.

Faith was an important part of Adelia’s life. As a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, in Mansfield, MA, she attended bible readings and studies. She was artistic and liked to spend time creating jewelry, sewing, and decorating for interior designs. She enjoyed listening to music, especially opera and going out dancing.

She enjoyed traveling to the mountains in New Hampshire. One of her favorite times of the year was her annual trip to Quebec, Canada for Labor Day weekend with friends. Most of all she loved to spend time with her family. She loved to cook large meals in true Italian fashion and open her home to her loved ones.
