Elizabeth Anne (Reilly) Curran, aged 88, of Franklin Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023.
Elizabeth was born in Boston, MA on August 30, 1934, a daughter to the late Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Reilly. She was raised in Brighton and was a graduate of the St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of Nursing.
She married John Curran Sr. in 1957 and they moved to Franklin MA in 1962 where they raised their 4 children. Elizabeth worked as a nurse as well as a drug and alcohol counselor over the years and even tried her hand as a real estate agent before she ultimately retired. She loved music and could often be found singing along with the radio as she worked around the house or drove around town.
She loved spending time with her family, whether it was holiday gatherings or vacations in New Hampshire and Maine. Lots of great memories at her sister Patricia’s cottage in New Hampshire and trips up to Nova Scotia with her mother’s family.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband John J. Curran Sr and her son Michael T. Curran. She is survived by her sister Patricia Robillard of Hyannis, MA and her brother Joseph Reilly of Maine. She is also survived by three of her children, Judith Curran of Franklin; Eileen Johnson of Canton and John Curran Jr. of Newton; as well as 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday March 5, 2023, at Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street in Franklin MA.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 on Monday March 6, 2023 at the funeral home and burial will follow at Union Street Cemetery.
