Calvin Wayne Harrison, 56, of Franklin died peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Laura Kaye (Schoonover) Harrison.

Born in Houston, Texas on February 13, 1967, he was the son of Margaret Louise (Reeves) Harrison and the late Paul Spencer Harrison.

Calvin was a resident of Franklin for the past twelve and a half years. He grew up in Conroe, Texas and graduated from Conroe High School.

Calvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and his MBA from the University of Texas - Austin. He worked in the telecommunications industry as an executive for many years.

Calvin was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and friend to so many. His joy, wit, laughter, optimism and happiness were such a gift to us all. He devoted himself to his Catholic faith and to the people around him through serving others. He enjoyed volunteering with the Sparhawk baseball team and sat on the Board of Montrose School.

One of his favorite pastimes was watching sports, especially his Texas Longhorns. Calvin’s happy place was on beach vacations with his family.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four daughters, Addison Harrison of Franklin, Brooke Harrison of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Rashanna Tice-Vazquez and her husband Victor Vazquez of San Antonio, Texas and Allyse Peine and her husband Jake and their daughter Sawyer of Midland, Texas.

He is also survived by his sisters, Paula Levy of Round Rock, Texas and Karen Harrison of Austin, Texas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 15 from 5PM-8PM in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

His funeral Mass will be held at St. Brendan’s Church, 382 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham on Thursday, March 16 at 10:00AM.

Burial will take place at Forest Oaks Memorial Park in Austin, Texas at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Calvin’s memory to Sparhawk Academy, 376 Orchard St., Millis, MA 02054 or Montrose School, 29 North Street, Medfield, MA 02052.
