Celebrate the Franklin Library During National Library Week -- and All Through April

Image

National Library Week (April 23 - 29, 2023) is a time to celebrate our nation's libraries, library workers' contributions and promote library use and support.  The theme for National Library Week 2023 is "There's More to the Story," illustrating the fact that in addition to the books in library collections, available in a variety of formats, libraries offer so much more. And here in Franklin, home of the nation's first free  public lending library, there's plenty to celebrate and always much to do, in person and online.

Here are some of the top programs and activities coming up for the whole month of April:

ESL & Adult Literacy Program

The Franklin Public Library has started an English as a Second Language and Adult Literacy Program to serve Franklin and its surrounding communities. Volunteers and students do not need to be Franklin residents.
