Kenneth D. Leon, 71, of Franklin, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Carbone) Leon for 46 years.
Born in New Rochelle, New York on June 24, 1951, he was the son of the late Victor and Ruth (Markey) Leon.
Kenneth was a resident of Franklin for the past 30 years. He grew up in Watertown, New York and graduated from Watertown High School in 1969. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in 1973 and a Master’s Degree in School Business Administration from the University of Albany.
Before his retirement, Kenneth worked as a school business administrator for many years, first for the Franklin school system and later for the Canton school system.
He was a member of the School Business Administrators Association and was an avid golfer.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Michael Leoni of Los Angeles, California.
He is also survived by three brothers, Kerry Leon and his wife Louise of Sacramento, California, Victor Leon and his wife Chic of Watertown, NY and Donald Leon and his wife Leslie of Hobe Sound, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for later this summer in New York.
