Note: Some incidents may have been omitted to preserve victims of certain crimes and ongoing investigations. Some addresses may not be specified but instead referred to by their street name. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Vandalism

232 Grove Street

On Monday, 5/8/2023 at approximately 1:31 pm an Officer took a report of vandalism that occurred at 232 Grove Street. It was reported the victim’s window was smashed while the car was parked and unoccupied at the Trunkline Trail. An investigation was opened.

Motor Vehicle Crash

520 West Central Street

On Monday, 5/8/2023 at approximately 1:48 pm Officers responded to 520 West Central Street for a minor two-car crash. There were no reported injuries, and a crash report was completed.

Fraud

Dean Avenue

On Monday, 5/8/2023 at approximately 1:59 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Dean Avenue. The victim reported they were trying to buy a couch on Facebook marketplace. The victim sent the money via an app to the “seller.” The “seller” deleted all their accounts and stopped responding with the victim. An investigation was opened.

On Monday, 5/8/2023 at approximately 2:05 pm Officers arrested Kayla Crosby, a 36- year-old Franklin resident for an open warrant.

Prospect Street

On Monday, 5/8/2023 at approximately 3:19 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Prospect Street. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

West Central Street

On Monday, 5/8/2023 at approximately 5:23 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of West Central Street. The victim’s information was used to open a savings account and a loan application. An investigation was opened.

Doe Drive

On Monday, 5/8/2023 at approximately 7:29 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Doe Drive. The victim’s information was used to open a savings account and a credit card. An investigation was opened.

Charles River Drive

On Tuesday, 5/9/2023 at approximately 9:08 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Charles River Drive. A credit card was opened using the victim’s information. An investigation was opened.

Anchorage Road

On Tuesday, 5/9/2023 at approximately 4:49 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Anchorage Road. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Monterey Drive

On Tuesday, 5/9/2023 at approximately 5:18 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Monterey Drive. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

On Tuesday, 5/9/2023 at approximately 5:23 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Corbin Street. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Vandalism

Charlotte Court

On Tuesday, 5/9/2023 at approximately 6:56 pm an Officer took a report of vandalism from a resident of Charlotte Court. The victim reported a brick was thrown at his back windshield and broke the window. It was later determined the brick fell off a neighboring chimney and onto the victim’s car. The matter was settled between neighbors.

Larceny

Summer Street

On Tuesday, 5/9/2023 at approximately 6:58 pm an Officer took a report of larceny from a resident of Summer Street. The victim reported an Amazon package was marked as a delivered to their residence, but no package was there. An investigation was opened.

Suspicious Activity

127 King Street

On Wednesday, 5/10/2023 at approximately 1:22 am Officers responded to 127 King Street for a report of a group of people going through cars and car alarms going off. The suspects left the area prior to officers’ arrival. Officers canvassed the area and found several vehicles which appeared to be unlocked and rummaged through. An investigation was opened.

Overdose

Franklin

On Wednesday, 5/10/2023 at approximately 2:44 am Officers responded to an address

in Franklin for an overdose. One individual was transported to the hospital by the FFD.

Suspicious Activity

117 Dean Avenue

On Wednesday, 5/10/2023 at approximately 5:02 am Officers recovered a stolen motor vehicle in the area of 117 Dean Avenue. It was later found that another vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of 117 Dean Avenue and other unlocked vehicles were rummaged through. An investigation was opened.

Cotton Tail Lane

On Wednesday, 5/10/2023 at approximately 9:26 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Cotton Tail Lane. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Stolen Motor Vehicle

535 East Central Street

On Wednesday, 5/10/2023 at approximately 2:26 pm Officers responded to 535 East Central Street for a report of a past stolen vehicle. It was reported a vehicle was stolen from the parking lot around 3 am. An investigation was opened.

Russell Street

On Wednesday, 5/10/2023 at approximately 2:57 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Russell Street. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Beech Street @ Pine Street

On Thursday, 5/11/2023 at approximately 4:31 pm Officers responded to Beech Street at Pine Street for a two-car crash. There were no reported injuries, and a crash report was completed.

Denise Drive

On Thursday, 5/11/2023 at approximately 5:08 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Denise Drive. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Red Gate Lane

On Friday, 5/12/2023 at approximately 4:35 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Red Gate Lane. The victim stated someone tried to open a bank account using their driver’s license. A report was generated.

Lawrence Drive

On Friday, 5/12/2023 at approximately 4:58 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a

resident of Lawrence Drive. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s

information. A report was generated.

Larceny

100 Corporate Drive BJ’s

On Friday, 5/12/2023 at approximately 8:46 pm an Officer responded to BJ’s for a larceny report. The victim stated their wallet was stolen out of their purse while shopping at BJ’s. Officers reviewed camera footage and determined the wallet theft did not occur inside BJ’s.

Protective Custody

Pond Street

On Friday, 5/12/2023 at approximately 11:21 pm Officers responded to a residence on

Pond Street for a report of a drunk female knocking on doors asking for help. Officers

located the woman. There was no emergency, and the female was placed into protective

custody for alcohol intoxication.

5/13/2023

Motor Vehicle Crash/Arrest

627 Washington Street

On Saturday, 5/13/2023 at approximately 9:00 pm Officers responded to 627 Washington Street for a report of a two-car crash. It was reported the operator of an involved vehicle fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. After an investigation and search of the area officers located the suspect who fled. The suspect, a 21-year-old Woonsocket, RI resident was arrested and charged with:

-Leaving the scene

-Unlicensed operation

-Possession with intent to distribute cocaine

Larceny

255 East Central Street Shaw’s Supermarket

On Saturday, 5/13/2023 at approximately 10:28 pm Officers responded to the area of 255 East Central Street for a report of a larceny. It was reported a dark colored SUV pulled up next to Shaw’s and stole 5 bundles of wood and fled the area. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle and an investigation was opened.
