Jean Ann (Shaughnessy) Lombardi, 84, Franklin died peacefully in her sleep on May 18. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Lombardi who died in 2011.

Born in Newton, November 30, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Hough) Shaughnessy, Jean was raised in Newton and lived in Franklin for many years where she raised her family.

Jean moved to Woodstock, Connecticut when she retired and lived there for 14 years before returning to Franklin.

She had been an electronics inspector for the Northrop Corporation for many years before retiring.

Jean was an avid art collector and especially enjoyed collecting Wallace Nutting paintings. She also enjoyed gardening, making stain glass windows, designing koi ponds, having morning teas with her granddaughters and cherished spending time with all her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Corina Konowitz and her husband Craig of Franklin, Victor Lombardi and his wife Melissa of Bellingham, Christina Bissanti of Franklin, Vincent Lombardi and his wife Julie of North Brookfield, and Daniel Lombardi of Connecticut.

She was the mother-in-law of the late Andrew Bissanti.

She is also survived by her sisters, Joan Salvucci and Mary Ellen Bradley of Needham.

Jean is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Jean’s services will be private.
