On Sunday, 5/14/2023 at approximately 10:50 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Wachusett Street. The victim reported they received a bill from AT&T saying an iPhone was purchased using their information. A report was completed.
5/15/2023
Motor Vehicle Crash
485 King Street
On Monday, 5/15/2023 at approximately 9:38 am Officers responded to 485 King Street for a minor two-car crash. There were no reported injuries, and a crash report was completed.

Mount Street
On Monday, 5/15/2023 at approximately 11:39 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Mount Street. The victim reported a bank account was opened using theirinformation. A report was generated.
Motor Vehicle Crash
Prospect Street @ Lake Street
On Monday, 5/15/2023 at approximately 3:37 pm Officers responded to Prospect Street by Lake Street for a two-car crash with no reported injuries. Both vehicles were towed, and a crash report was completed.
Suspicious Activity/Section 12
Franklin
On Monday, 5/15/2023 at approximately 9:35 pm an Officer was flagged down by motorists saying an individual was walking in the street. Officers located the person,
and they were eventually transported to the hospital on a Section 12 by the FFD.

On Tuesday, 5/16/2023 at approximately 5:51 am an Officer was conducting traffic enforcement on Lincoln Street when they observed a motor-vehicle violation. After an investigation, the operator, a 20-year-old Medway, MA resident received a criminal summons for:

Oak Street
On Tuesday, 5/16/2023 at approximately 7:41 am an Officer was conducting traffic enforcement on Oak Street when they observed a motor-vehicle violation. After an investigation, the owner of the vehicle, a 37-year-old Woonsocket, RI resident received a criminal summons for:
-Allowing operation of an uninsured motor vehicle
-Allowing operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license
Assault
1253 West Central Street
On Tuesday, 5/16/2023 at approximately 12:53 pm Officers responded to 1253 West Central Street for a reported past assault between co-workers. After an investigation, a 39-year-old Franklin, MA resident received a criminal summons for:

Suspicious Activity
Shayne Road
On Tuesday, 5/16/2023 at approximately 4:36 pm Officers responded to a residence on Shayne Road for a report of suspicious activity. It was reported a glass door was shattered due to an unknown reason a day earlier. It was determined the glass door was not damaged due to any suspicious circumstances but most likely a rock kicked up by a dirt bike.

Independence Way
On Tuesday, 5/16/2023 at approximately 5:42 pm an Officer took a larceny report for a resident of Independence Way. The victim reported a package was confirmed as being delivered but was believed to have been stolen. An investigation was opened.

Pleasant Street
On Wednesday, 5/17/2023 at approximately 9:04 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Pleasant Street. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.
Disorderly Disturbance
1077 Pond Street
On Wednesday, 5/17/2023 at approximately 6:16 pm Officers responded to 1077 Pond Street for a reported disorderly disturbance. Upon arrival Officers discovered the individual causing the disturbance left prior to their arrival. It was discovered an argument ensued over a game of bingo. No police services were required.

Larceny
Gatehouse Lane
On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 10:42 am an Officer took a larceny report for a resident of Gatehouse Lane. The victim reported buying a gold bar online which was shipped by FedEx. The victim signed for the package, but the package was compromised, and the gold bar was missing. A report was generated. No investigation was opened as the theft occurred outside this jurisdiction during shipping. The victim was a requesting a police report to follow-up with FedEx.

On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 11:43 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Summer Heights Drive. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.
Section 35 Service
Franklin
On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 1:20 pm Officers responded to an address in Franklin to serve a Section 35 (involuntary commitment for substance abuse treatment). The individual was located and
transported to the Wrentham District Court.

On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 4:24 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Summer Street. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Pleasant Street @ Chestnut Street
On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 4:30 pm Officers responded to Pleasant Street at Chestnut Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist. There were no reported injuries, and a crash report was completed.
Harassment
303 East Central Street
On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 5:41 pm Officers responded to 303 East Central Street for a report of harassment. It was reported young males on bicycles were entering the store and harassing customers and potentially trying to take their wallets. An investigation was opened, and the juveniles left the area prior to officers’ arrival andwere unable to be located.

On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 7:43 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Pleasant Street. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.
Motor Vehicle Crash
Pleasant Street @ Chestnut Street
On Thursday, 5/18/2023 at approximately 8:36 pm Officers responded to Pleasant Street at Chestnut Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash with potential injuries. Two cars were towed, and one individual was transported to the hospital. A crashreport was completed.

Chestnut Street @ Jordan Road
On Friday, 5/19/2023 at approximately 2:21 am Officers responded to Chestnut Street by Jordan Road for a single car crash into a telephone pole. The pole and wires were down across the road. After an investigation, the operator, a 22-year-old Plainville, MA resident was arrested and charged with:
-OUI liquor
-Negligent operation of a motor vehicle
-Leaving the scene of property damage
-Marked lanes violation
-Stop sign violation

On Friday, 5/19/2023 at approximately 12:18 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Maple Street. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Washington Street @ Stanford Road
On Saturday, 5/20/2023 at approximately 12:31 pm Officers responded to Washington Street at Stanford Road for a two-car crash. There were no reported injuries. One vehicle was towed, and a crash report was completed.
Stolen Motor Vehicle/Pursuit/Arrest
Prospect Street
On Saturday, 5/20/2023 at approximately 6:11 pm Officers responded to the area of 295 Prospect Street for an initial call of a possible stolen motor vehicle. It was reported someone known to the party took a vehicle and drove off possibly under the influence. Officers located and a pursuit ensued as the vehicle did not stop. After several minutes the vehicle eventually stopped, and a 37-year-old Franklin resident was arrested and charged with:
-OUI liquor
-Negligent operation of a motor vehicle
-Marked lanes violation
-Stop sign violation
-Failure to stop for the police
-Resisting arrest
