Mary (Contos) Howard, 87

Mary (Contos) Howard, 87, of Franklin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was the wife of the late John Paul Howard who passed away in 1993. Mary is survived by her daughter Holly A. Wheeler, son-in-law David Wheeler and her beloved grandson, Jared Paul Wheeler.

Mary was born on August 3, 1935 in Boston, the daughter of the late Peter H. and Pelagia (Belbas) Contos. She was a graduate of Girl’s Latin High School Class of 1953 and Fisher Junior College Class of 1955. She had been a resident of Dorchester before moving to Franklin in 1961.

Mary was employed at Bachner-Roche and Cataldo Law Office for 29 years. After her first retirement, she then enjoyed her time working at Cybex Corporation in Medway. She was a member of the Franklin Seniors and especially benefitted from their Low Vision Group.

Mary is also survived by her brother Harry Contos, his wife Gayaneh, her sister Angelike (Kiki) Triant, her husband Ross, her Nieces and Nephew and their families.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4-7 PM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11AM in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of New England, 514 Parker St., Boston.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, 95 Forest Hills Ave,, Boston.
