Here is a list of the notable events from the past week

Note: Some incidents may have been omitted to preserve victims of certain crimes and ongoing investigations. Some addresses may not be specified but instead referred to by their street name. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

5/28/2023

Motor Vehicle Hit & Run

Gatehouse Lane

On Sunday, 5/28/2023 at approximately 8:59 am an Officer took a report of a past motor vehicle hit and run which occurred in the parking lot of the Gatehouse Lane apartments. A vehicle was struck overnight, and an investigation was opened.

Vandalism

Union Street

On Sunday, 5/28/2023 at approximately 12:29 pm an Officer took a vandalism report from a resident of Union Street. They reported their vehicle was keyed and vandalized overnight.

Motor Vehicle Crash

365 West Central Street

On Sunday, 5/28/2023 at approximately 1:49 pm an Officer responded to the parking lot at 365 West Central Street for a minor motor vehicle crash. One vehicle struck a parked vehicle in the parking lot. A crash report was completed.

Larceny

Union Street

On Tuesday, 5/30/2023 at approximately 11:07 am an Officer took a larceny report from a resident of Union Street. It was reported an Amazon package was delivered to the reporting party’s address and signed for, but no package was received by the reporting party. An investigation was opened.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Pleasant Street

On Tuesday, 5/30/2023 at approximately 5:51 pm Officers responded to a minor two- car crash on Pleasant Street. There were no reported injuries, and a crash report was completed.

5/31/2023

Fraud

Wampanoag Drive

On Wednesday, 5/31/2023 at approximately 10:29 am an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Wampanoag Drive. A bank account and debit card were opened using the victim’s date of birth and social security number.

Motor Vehicle Crash

Lincoln Street

On Wednesday, 5/31/2023 at approximately 12:22 pm Officers responded to Lincoln Street for a report of a role over motor vehicle crash into a telephone pole with wires down across the road. One party was transported to the hospital by the FFD. Lincoln Street was closed while the National Grid fixed the downed telephone pole and wires. A crash report was completed.

Fraud

Lincoln Street

On Wednesday, 5/31/2023 at approximately 6:23 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Lincoln Street. The victim was contacted by the “Publishing Clearing House” and informed they were eligible for a $15,000,000 reward. To claim the reward, the victim had to provide a representative with a $125 Visa Gift Card. The victim did so then reported the scam to the PD. An investigation was opened.

6/1/2023

Larceny

100 Corporate Drive – BJ’s

On Thursday, 6/1/2023 at approximately 10:20 pm an Officer responded to BJ’s for a report of a past larceny. It was reported a male left the store portable speakers. An investigation was opened.

6/2/2023

Motor Vehicle Crash

Washington Street

On Friday, 6/2/2023 at approximately 2:47 pm Officers responded to the 800 block of Washington Street for a two-car crash. There were no reported injuries, and one vehicle was towed. A crash report was completed.

Fraud

Matthew Drive

On Friday, 6/2/2023 at approximately 4:43 pm an Officer took a fraud report from a resident of Matthew Drive. Unemployment benefits were opened using the victim’s information. A report was generated.

Structure Fire

Prospect Street

On Friday, 6/2/2023 at approximately 5:21 pm Officers assisted the FFD with a structure fire on Prospect Street. The road was closed and detoured throughout the evening.

6/3/2023

Motor Vehicle Hit & Run

Jefferson Road

On Saturday, 6/3/2023 at approximately 9:18 am an Officer responded to a residence on Jefferson Road for a report that a mailbox was struck overnight. Officers located the vehicle that struck the mailbox in the neighborhood. The operator of the vehicle, a 23- year-old Franklin, MA resident received a criminal summons for:

-Leaving the scene of property damage

-Marked lanes violation

Disturbance

219 East Central Street – Honey Dew

On Saturday, 6/3/2023 at approximately 10:24 am Officers responded to the Honey Dew for a past disturbance involving a customer. The individual was trespassed from the business without incident.

Motor Vehicle Crash

School Street

On Saturday, 6/3/2023 at approximately 1:15 pm Officers responded to School Street for a minor two-car crash with no reported injuries. A crash report was completed.

Larceny

Woodview Way

On Saturday, 6/3/2023 at approximately 3:33 pm an Officer took a report from a

resident of Woodview Way of a potential larceny. The reporting party stated packages

were reported as delivered but they never received them. An investigation was opened.
