Women ages 15+ who want to learn how to fish on their own are invited to join MassWildlife for a free fishing class. The class is from 5 – 7 p.m. at Lake Cochituate Middle Pond in Natick. This class includes an online video tutorial that you can watch on your own time, followed by an in-person event to practice. Come try your hand at this great pastime—you're guaranteed to catch some fun! The in-person class will teach how to use bait, how to set up a line, and how to cast. There will be plenty of time to fish and ask questions. Click here to register.
Likewise,there is a Family Fishing Festival, Sudbury on July 29...Join the fun at this free family friendly, learn to fish event at the US Fish & Wildlife Service Eastern Massachusetts National Wildlife Refuge Great Meadows Complex (73 Weir Hill Road) from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Learn to set up your rod, tie knots, cast, and identify fish.
