Christopher Richard Goulart, 44, of Franklin, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 2nd , with his loved ones by his side.
Christopher was born in Boston on April 14th, 1979. He is the son of Joseph A. and Donna Lee Morton-Goulart of Franklin.
Christopher is survived by his children, Isabella and Christian Goulart; his brother Robert Goulart and his wife Kristen, along with their children, Amelia and Robert, all of Franklin. He is also survived by his fiancée Lauren Sanford, also of Franklin.
Christopher and his family lived in Hyde Park prior to moving to Franklin in 1993. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1997 and received a degree in Business Administration from Bryant College in 2002.
He was a star hockey player and was able to participate in the 1993 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, where he played Center for the Boston Jr. Bruins.
Chris enjoyed a lengthy career in technology and medical research, winning multiple sales awards. Among these, his most cherished – and prestigious – was the Alpine Sales Award from Genzyme Genetics International. A closer runner-up, however, was an awarded trip to the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity Chris was able to share with his father, Joseph. Christopher is also the holder of multiple medical patents.
His passions outside of work included music and traveling. He loved being a DJ and often traveled with his children to Walt Disney World, which he called his “Happy Place.”
Chris always wanted to help others, so it is fitting that his last act as an organ donor saved the lives of three people.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, August 8th , from 4-8 p.m. at the Ginley Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Franklin, MA. (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com)
A funeral mass celebrating the life of Christopher will take place Wednesday, August 9th at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin, MA. The interment will take place in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Christopher R. Goulart Children's Fund c/o Dean Bank, PO Box 307, Franklin 02038.
