New Comcast Channel #s Coming Soon for Local TV

By way of Franklin Matters, Franklin TV  Executive Director, Pete Fasciano, tells us that for Comcast customers only, the local PEG channels (Public Access, Education, and Government), will be  getting new channel numbers, some perhaps in the single digits, to group them closer to the "local" stations of Boston and Providence.

The change should occur on or about August 29th, and again, only Comcast customers will be affected; Verizon and YouTube streams are not affected.

The public channel provides a spot for locally created program -- cooking and talk shows, for instance. The educational channel is affiliated with schools and especially school sports, and the government channel, of course, provides a window into most of the public meetings held within Franklin town government.
