It is getting close to a week since Oct 10, when Franklin teenager, Jazlyn Rodrigues, was reportedly last seen by her mother, Jessica Negron.
The Franklin Police Department later issued a Missing Person Alert and listed her with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Since that time, there has been no official word on the whereabouts of Rodrigues from the Police and precious little other information. Last week we heard from a citizen sleuth who claimed to have listened in on emergency broadcasts, which indicated that Rodrigues had left home without her telephone, making it harder to track her whereabouts. The same source claims that the associates of Rodrigues, including some that are FHS students, have been contacted by police but none had any information as to her whereabouts.
An inquiry about the disappearance with the Westerly management office, the apartment complex where she lives, specifically as to whether any missing person notices had been posted, yielded only a suggestion to contact the police.
Most recently, Negron, who is listed as the 'registered agent' of Diamond Dispatch LLC, at her 200 Woodview Way address, set up a GoFundMe.
The posting, titled “missing child & family emergency,” states, “My name is Jessica Negron and my daughter Jazlyn Rodrigues, 15 years old has been missing since October 10th. Franklin Police have been continuing to follow up with me on the case. Unfortunately we are unable to find her. I am a Desperate mom reaching out, I am asking for some financial help from the community because as you guys know my son recently passed due to an accident. I haven’t been able to properly grieve the loss of him due to all the events that are occurring. Life has just really taken a toll on me, haven’t been able to return to work since my son and now my daughter is missing and I just want her home where she belongs. Please call 911 directly if you have any information about where she could be. Thank you all for your prayers, support and love! God bless everyone.”
Sunday, at New England Chapel, prayers were reportedly offered for the safe return of Rodrigues.
Here’s hoping...
