Joshua Riley of Bellingham has been taken into custody by police in Connecticut almost two full years after a brazen Christmas Eve bank robbery in Darien. According to published reports, Riley, 42, reportedly jumped over the counter of a bank and escaped with thousands of dollars. But a GPS device allowed police to eventually track his movements.
The devices and some of the money was found in a car, the owner of which said he had previously loaned it to Riley. Finding Riley was not so easy.
Riley was finally arrested in Massachusetts days ago and is being held on a quarter-million-dollar bail in Connecticut. He faces a hearing in Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 20.
