Maximum Impact Foundation Seeks to Boost Trades

At the Tri-County Regional Chamber of Commerce we receive numerous calls and emails each week from business owners seeking to hire new employees, particularly in the skilled trades.

Through extensive research, we've come across some compelling facts that have captured our attention. It's quite astonishing to discover that for every three skilled trade businesses people that retire, only one new business emerges. As we look ahead, we can't help but wonder about the landscape that will unfold. What will it look like, and how can we collectively shape a promising future for the skilled trade industry? According to Forbes, there will be over 3 million unfilled skilled trade jobs by 2028, indicating a sustained and robust demand for positions in the trade sector.

Motivated by these insights, we were compelled to take action. Thus, we established a 501(c)3 organization called the Maximum Impact Foundation. Our mission is to make a difference by providing scholarships and grants to high school students and other individuals who have opted for a skilled trade career path over the traditional college route.

Given the abundance of scholarships tailored for individuals on a college path and the limited options for those attending trade schools, our mission is as follows:

• To offer grants and scholarships towards tuition, licensing & tools

• Digital marketing grants - free website design and social media set up

• Accounting support: free Quickbooks training and set up

To kickstart the fundraising efforts for the foundation, we're having a really fun event on December 9th.

What to expect:

Family style dinner catered by Savini's Pomodoro, music from the Flying Ivories dueling pianos, and yes, they'll take requests! Dancing....because you just have to, and over 100 auction items to bid on. It's going to be a really fun night.
