FHS Empty Bowls Club Fundraiser to Take Place on May 23

Image

The Franklin High School’s Empty Bowls Club will host its annual fundraiser to support the Franklin Food Pantry on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 6 pm at the Franklin High School Cafeteria, 218 Oak St, Franklin, MA. Now in its ninth year, the event aims to bring awareness of hunger and food insecurity. Attendees will be served a simple meal of soup and bread and receive a handmade, ceramic bowl as a reminder that “somewhere, someone’s bowl is empty”. Guests can also bid on silent auction items including ceramic pieces made by club members. All proceeds from the event will support the Franklin Food Pantry, which provides supplemental food assistance and programs in the Franklin community. Tickets for the event will be available on The Pantry’s website beginning Monday, April 1, 2024. Sponsorship opportunities are currently available. For more information, please contact Jen Johnson, Major Gifts Coordinator, at jjohnson@franklinfoodpantry.org.
