Judith Louise (Griffin) Palmer, 86, of Franklin passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, at the Enclave in Franklin with her two daughters by her side. She was the wife of the late Bradley Palmer who passed away in 2003.
Born in Norwood, on November 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Doris (Norton) Griffin, Judy was raised in Gardner, MA, and had lived in Franklin since 1972.
She was a graduate of Gardner High School and a graduate of Framingham State Teachers College.
Judy was a third-grade elementary school teacher in Franklin for 25 years. She taught at Theron Metcalf School, Four Corners Elementary School, and Oak Street Elementary School.
Judy spent her winters at her home in Venice, Florida. She especially loved traveling with her sister, Alma, and her husband Ron. She enjoyed reading, was a member of the Federated Church book club, she loved looking for shark teeth at Manasota Beach, scrapbooking, making baskets, and spending time with family.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Pam Jones and her husband Brian of Franklin, and Linnea Slason and her husband Mike of Plymouth.
She is also survived by her brother Paul Griffin and his wife Nancy of Indiana and her brother-in-law Ronald Kelly of Virginia.
She was the sister of the late Alma Kelly, Charles Griffin, David Griffin, and Robert Griffin.
Judy is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh Jones and his wife Heather, Jon Jones and his wife Vikki,Becca Jones, Stephanie Wheaton and her husband Rob, Tim Slason, and Pat Slason and his wife Hanna.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Jack, Callie, Theo, Everly, Mason, Gavin, and Zoey.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin, MA.

Her memorial service will be held on April 5, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Franklin Federated Church, Franklin, MA.
The burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Gardner, MA.
