Theresa Marie Monterotti

Theresa Marie Monterotti passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s Nursing Home in Newport, Rhode Island on Mar 13, 2024.

Theresa was born on November 27, 1935 in Medway, Massachusetts, to her parents Charles and Anna Guerra. Theresa was predeceased by her husband John “The Barber” Monterotti, and her sister Gloria Van Beaver.

She is survived by her three children; Ann Marie Bussey and her partner Bob Dorr, JoAnn and her husband Joseph Vignone, and John Monterotti along with her seven grandchildren, Meghan Bussey and her partner Barry Ryan, Victoria and Marc Ouellette, Nicholas and Lindsay Vignone, Michael and Alyssa Vignone, Kelsea and Justin Thomas, Jack Vignone, and Ashley Monterotti and her seven great grandchildren, Lennon and Otto Ouellette, Paisley Thomas, Nico Vignone, Vincent and Mia Vignone.

Theresa was a resident of Franklin, Massachusetts for most of her life working in the community at Whiting and Davis, Benjamin Franklin Saving Bank, and TriCounty Regional Technical High School.

Theresa celebrated her years following retirement living in the family beach house in Misquamicut, Rhode Island. Theresa cherished time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved being outdoors spending most of her time in the garden, mowing her beloved lawn and having a cocktail on the veranda. Theresa spent her summer days on the beach surrounded by family and friends and enjoyed seaside walks throughout the seasons.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thank you to all the healthcare workers and staff at St. Clare’s Nursing Home for their profound compassion and devout care of Theresa in her final days.

A private celebration will be held by the family at a future date.
