Schools Tell Parents of "Adult Images" on Teacher Phone

Late last week the Franklin Public Schools issued a brief statement (reproduced below) explaining to parents what was allegedly found on a teacher phone.  The full statement in the letter is included below:

"Please be advised that a teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation into allegations of inappropriate materials that contained adult images on a staff member’s personal phone.

":Consistent with the policies and procedures of the Franklin Public Schools, an investigation into the allegations was launched Thursday by the District, which remains ongoing. As part of our standard procedures, the Franklin Public School Resource Officer and School Committee have been notified.

:We understand that you and your children may have additional questions. Please understand we have shared the extent of what can be shared at this time given the ongoing investigation into what has been reported. The Franklin Public Schools’ counseling staff stands ready to support the students. This is a matter that is taken very seriously as a school community."
