Dorothy Jane (DesRoches) Bond, entered eternal rest on June 28, 2024, at the age of 86, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 58 years of the late Robert John Bond. May she rest in the peace of the Lord.

Dorothy was the devoted daughter of C. Edward and Evelyn (Baker) DesRoches. Born in Boston on October 23, 1937, Dorothy grew up in Needham, MA, where she was a long-time member of Saint Joseph Parish. She attended Sacred Heart High School in Newton and graduated from Regis College, magna cum laude, with a major in Mathematics and minors in Philosophy and Physics.

Bob and Dorothy returned to Needham, where they added five more children to their family.

Dorothy had many talents and interests, but she will be most remembered for her dedication to her Catholic faith, her delight in her ever-growing family, and her contagious sense of fun.

Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband Bob in 2019, and by her siblings Joan DesRoches, Edward DesRoches, and Colette Hearn, all of Needham, as well as many cherished relatives and friends.

She is also survived by her sisters Priscilla C. Kelley of Franklin and M. Evelyn Doherty of Wayland, her brothers-in-law Robert J. Hearn of Needham and William B.
