Sandra A. Dowden

It is with great sadness and unbelievable grief, we announce the passing of "Sandy".

Sandra A. (Lucas) Dowden 59, of Upton, and a former resident of Medway and Franklin, MA. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 2nd, 2024 at Milford Regional Medical Center.

Beloved and beautiful wife of Thomas M. Dowden.

She is survived by her parents Robert and MaryJane Lucas of Bourne, her sisters Donna Lucas, Sheryl Cauble, her brother John Lucas, and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her husband's parents Keith and Carol Dowden of CT, sister-in-law Cheryl Kelley, brother-in-law Tim Dowden, stepson Taylor Dowden and step grandson Daniel Dowden, stepdaughter Kayleigh Tosches and her sons Stephen and Parker.

She enjoyed her gardens and the lake where she lived. She had a great fashion sense and a passion for jewelry, always a beautiful woman with the heart of an Angel and the soul of a Warrior.

She loved being a grandmother "Mimi" and loved being "Mummie" to her fur babies Cosmo and Louie.

She had a bachelor's degree in Management and Marketing from UMass Dartmouth, and an associate degree in Small Business from Dean College in Franklin. Up until her illness she was an Inside Service Sales Representative at Waters Corp in Milford, MA.

Services to be held privately for the family.

A "Celebration of Life" may be held in the future.
