Paula Jean Guay

Paula Jean Guay (née Ralyea), aged 69, (pictured)passed away on September 4, 2024, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Born on December 11, 1954, in Milford, Massachusetts, she was a lifelong resident of Franklin.

Paula dedicated 40 years of her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Cedarwood Gardens in Franklin.

Paula was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She is survived by her husband, Michael Jack Guay Sr.; her children, Michael Jack Guay Jr., Scott Christopher Guay, Andrea J Guay, and Emily J Kaplan; and her sister, Bonnie Ralyea. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert C. and Anita Ralyea.

She had a passion for bird watching, particularly hummingbirds, and enjoyed gardening, reading, and never missed a Red Sox game. Paula was known for her selflessness, kindness, and genuine care for others, often contributing to animal charities, reflecting her deep love for her two cats, Prince and Peanut, and all animals.

A graduate of Franklin High School, Paula's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her community.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Saturday Sept. 14th. in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 2-4PM.

Her interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the USPCA in memory of Paula, honoring her compassion for animals.

Christine Dacko Cogliano

Christine Dacko Cogliano 61, of Bellingham and a former longtime resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday September 8, 2024.

Services are pending at this time and will be announced.
