Ann “Nancy” (O’Rourke) Morrissey
Ann “Nancy” (O’Rourke) Morrissey of Franklin formerly of West Roxbury passed away on September 20, 2024, surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife for 58 years to the late William M. Morrissey Sr (Retired BPD). Loving mother to William M. Morrissey Jr (SFD) and his wife Mary, Susan of Wrentham, James (BPD) and his wife Julie of Franklin. Devoted Nana to James C, Michael, Lindsey, Ryan and Brianna. Loving GiGi Ma to James C Jr. Sister of Leo O’Rourke and his wife Cathy. Sister-in-Law to Warren Morrissey (Retired BPD) and his late wife Mary. Nancy is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Nancy worked for many years in banking before becoming a housewife and mother. Nancy went back to work and was affectionately known as Mrs. M to the many students in the cafeteria at Catholic Memorial High School. She loved to spend her Sunday Nights at the Irish Social Club listening and dancing to her Irish music. She spent her winters at her home away from home in Vero Beach, FLA.
With her passing, she will be joining her late husband William, whom she missed dearly.
Visting hours will be held at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St West Roxbury on Wednesday, September 25th, from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, September 26th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Theresa Church, West Roxbury at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Velda R. Bolduc
Born on April 25, 1933, in Canada, she later moved to the United States where she lived in Dexter, Maine, Franklin, MA, Plainville, MA, and most recently at Maples Rehab and Nursing Home in Wrentham, MA. She was a proud graduate of Corinna Union Academy in Corinna, ME. Velda was a religious woman and was known for her love of her family, her passion for reading, listening to music, sewing, and her adoration for vacationing in Maine.
During her professional career, Velda held the position of Office Manager for Dr. Francis Rice DDS in Franklin from 1971 to 2004. Her dedication and commitment to her work were a testament to her character and she was a valued member of the team.
Velda is survived by her beloved daughters, Lynn Davey of Attleboro, Cheryl Sanfilippo and her husband Gerry of Readville, Gay Mafera and her husband Bob of Wells, ME; her loving son, Gary Bolduc and his wife Jean of West Newbury; her cherished grandchildren, Jennifer (Davey) Richartz and her husband Jeffrey of Newmarket, NH, Heather (Davey) Simmons and her husband Chris of Taunton, Danielle Sanfilippo and her spouse Allison of Warwick, RI, Malia Bolduc of West Newbury and Kai Bolduc of West Newbury; she also leaves her great grandchildren, Daniel Roberts of Taunton, Matthew and Lillian Richartz both of Newmarket, NH and Mason Simmons of Taunton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Thelma Williams; her dear husband, Richard Bolduc; her sister, June Cameron; her beloved son-in-law, Paul Davey; her precious infant grandson, John Sanfilippo and her dear friend Freda Wortman.

The family would like to thank the Maples staff for caring for Velda over the past 3 years, and would especially like to thank Ann Marie, her day nurse, for being a great advocate for her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, located at 133 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, located at 565 Mount Hope Street, North Attleborough, MA. All services are under the care of Duffy-Poule Funeral and Cremation Services.
