The Chamber of Secrets

(Above), Senator Becca Rausch has invited all small business owners in the Norfolk, Worcester, and Middlesex District to the next meeting of her Small Business Advisory Council on Monday, October 21, at 10AM at the Golder Room of the Dean College Student Center in Franklin. The event is open to all members “of our regional small business economy,” but NOT the news media. Rausch also invited Senator Michael Rodrigues, who is a Portuguese-American, like her opponent in the election, Dashe Videira. Rodrigues is Chair of the Senate Committee on Ways and Means, and has been asked to provide an overview of the state's fiscal status and additional updates. There will supposedly be time for questions and answers. 

Medway Man Faces Charges in CT

According to news reports on WFSB and elsewhere, Joseph A. Mille, 35, of Medway, was arrested by South Windsor CT police for offering to expose himself to a 12-year-old girl. Mille has a court date in Connecticut on October 30. According to a LinkedIn post for a Joseph Mille in Medway, he has been a mechanic working at a car dealer  in Norwood.

Dashe Videira, the Franklin candidate running for State Senate, reportedly managed to get a near capacity crowd into La Cantina in Franklin for her Saturday fundraiser. More details to come...

Franklin TV to Hold First Trunk or Treat

Franklin.TV is holding our first Trunk or Treat event at our 23 Hutchinsin Street studios. Come for treats and a terrific time on Friday, Oct 25, 4 to 8pm. We'll have a fun photobooth, a most boo-tiful costume contest, trunks full of treats - and perhaps even some haunting trickery. Moo-hoo-Ha-ha-ha-haaaaaaaa! It's Halloween Trunk or Treat Time at Franklin.TV, 23 Hutchinson St. Friday, Oct 25, 4 to 8pm.

Vets Honoring Vets Continues in Franklin

In recent weeks Edward L. Grant, Shayne M. Cabino, and Emilio Dadario have been honored on their death dates in, respectively, World War I, Iraq, and World War I. Above a shot of the marker honoring Cabino. Grant, the first major league baseball player killed in World War I  will also be given special mention at the Veterans Day event in November. Upcoming remembrances, normally held at 9AM near the "doughboy" statue facing St. Mary's, include Jay Stone Davis, Nov. 6, Lawrence J. Clark, Nov. 7, Daniel E. McCahill, Nov. 11 and Robert L. Cummings, Nov. 30

Awful Waffles

There is another voluntary manufacturer recall, this time from Treehouse Foods on PICS brand Frozen Waffles -- Chocolate Chip, Homestyle, Buttermilk and Blueberry varieties --with UPC codes: 4173515713, 4173515750, 4173515751, and 4173515752. The manufacturer is recalling these products due to possible listeria contamination. The items were sold through Price Chopper at some Massachusetts locations in the region.

Lady Bugs Resurface on Website
