    Fire Bugs

    Authorities are now suggesting that brush fires in Medway and Franklin may have been set. Meanwhile,  police have arrested a 72-year-old Attleboro man who they say has been intentionally starting brush fires across the city, with the risk of wildfires already high.

    109 Closed Briefly Tuesday Afternoon

    Milford Street (Route 109) was closed between Clark and Rainbow for part of Tuesday afternoon as a result of a serious motor vehicle crash. A detour was in place and motorists were advised to avoid the area

    Not Funny

    Public health officials are investigating a multi-state E. coli outbreak that has been tied to multiple brands of recalled organic carrots, and has sickened people in Massachusetts and nearly two dozen other states. (See here for more)

    Franklin Knights of Columbus Gift Card Drive

    The Knights of Columbus (Sacred Heart Council #1847 - St. Mary’s Church in Franklin, MA) is holding our annual Advent/Christmas Fundraiser for those in Franklin and surrounding communities who are “in need” during the holiday season… and it will be the only charity card drive of the year!  ALL proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Society - and (to make sure we maximize the impact for those in need) the Knights will be DOUBLING the impact by making a matching donation equal to the total amount collected!  The Knights will have a table set up outside the church after each Mass at St. Mary’s on the weekend of December 14th & 15th, and you’ll have the opportunity to make donations in several ways:

    Warren Group Reports on Real Estate Trends

    The Warren Group’s Massachusetts Sales Report for October 2024 data shows that single-family home sales and the median sale price increased in October on a year-over-year basis.
