Medway Man Arrested on Multiple Charges in RI Sweep

According to Rhode Island authorities, on January 15, 2025, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Jonathan Mosher, age 43, of 27 Vernon Road Apt B, Medway, Massachusetts, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I – V Controlled Substance (Suboxone); 2) Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I – V Controlled Substance (Adderall); 3) Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I – V Controlled Substance (Adderall); 4) Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I – V Controlled Substance (Adderall); and 5) Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I – V Controlled Substance (Fentanyl). Mr. Mosher was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.

Traffic and Construction Updates for Beaver St. Interceptor

Monday (1/20) - Friday (1/24): Depending on contractor availability and weather there is the potential that Grove Street will be closed at the MBTA train tracks between the hours of 7am - 4pm. Traffic turning onto Grove Street from Rt. 140 will be detoured over to Beaver Street via Rt. 140. Please follow posted detour signs for directions. Please follow the DPW Facebook page for detour maps and updated information during the week. At the Franklin Recreation Center, the construction of the new Beaver Street Interceptor Pump Station will continue with formwork and concrete placement.

Both Franklin and Medway are reporting that there are no planned delays in trash or recycling pickup due to the Martin Luther King. Jr., holiday.

Medway Nomination Papers available January 21

Nomination papers for the May 20, 2025 town election will be available January 21, 2025, for the May 20, 2025, Town Election. Please stop by the Town Clerk's office at 155 Village Street during regular business hours to pull papers. The last day to obtain nomination papers is March 28, 2025, by 5 p.m.
