According to a reportĀ in Greet Franklin, the new glossy magazine that has recently begun arriving in select mailboxes in town, Franklin will soon be enjoying a beautiful new mural project at the Franklin/Dean MBTA station near the town center.
According to the Greet report, the project, which will be starting in a few weeks, has been made possible by a $50,000 grant from State Senator Becca Rausch under the guidance of Cory Shea, the Town's Director of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy. It will be executed by a local artist.
The article, on page 13 of the February issue, notes that residents will be able to help prepare the space and also notes that the mural will help highlight "Franklin's commitment to integrating art into public spaces and fostering a vibrant creative community."
