Sandra J. (Spinney) Higgins of Medway passed away on April 14, 2025.
She was born on November 2, 1937 in Brockton, MA to the late Wylie and Ethel Jean (Sanford) Spinney. Beloved wife of Raymond Higgins. Affectionately known as Sandy, she was a devoted mother of Kimberlee Dumas and her late husband Peter of Franklin, Raymond Curtis Higgins and his wife Susan of Franklin, Scott Higgins and his wife Stephanie of West Newbury. Loving grandmother of Megan Kantzer and her husband Jake, Michelle Kam and her husband Joshua, Kristen Dumas, Chelsey Gavin and her husband Andrew, Kayla O’Donnell and her husband Patrick, Amelie Higgins, and Eliza Higgins. Great grandmother of Charlottle and Emma Kam, Miles and Jasper Kantzer, Bo and Molly Gavin and Olive O’Donnell. Sister of the late Diane Stingley and the late Maxine Westcott.
Sandy graduated from Natick High School in 1955 and was married to Raymond June 2,1956. They raised their children in Natick, where they lived for nearly 37 years.
Sandy and Ray enjoyed many family camping trips on the weekends and taking vacations in their tent trailer. They were members of the Natick Square Riggers and enjoyed square dancing for many years. Following Sandy’s retirement, she moved with Raymond to Bellingham and resided there for 18 years. During their retirement, she and Raymond enjoyed traveling and the occasional trip to the local casinos. They also loved visiting their children and grandchildren.
Sandy had been a longtime resident at Medway Country Manor where she was loved by both staff and residents.
Visiting Hours in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, NATICK COMMON, on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home at 3:30pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
