Norman Conrad Busby, Jr., 71, of Pocasset, MA., and formerly of Attleboro, MA, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on February 11, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Ann-Marie Margaret (Lynch) Busby to whom he was married on October 9, 2004.
Born in Natick, MA on May 29, 1953, he was a son of the late Norman Conrad Busby, Sr. and the late Marilyn (Saumsiegle) Busby. Raised and educated in Franklin, MA, Mr. Busby was a graduate of Franklin High School and received an associate degree in computer science from Dean College.
He was a proud veteran having served with the United States Air Force from March 1, 1971, until his honorable discharge on February 22, 1974.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a systems analyst having worked for the Department of Environmental Protection and the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs.
He attended the Pocasset Baptist Church and was a member of SHED, an informal men's group, in Franklin, MA, and loved rock music, particularly Phil Collins.
Some of his favorite pastimes included going to the chapel at ORA in Melbourne Beach, Florida, buying tools and playing the harmonica after being self-taught.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Robert J. Houle and his wife, Betsy Houle, of Attleboro, MA; Thomas A. Houle of Bethlehem, NH and David G. Bellerose and his wife, Karen Bellerose, of Plymouth, MA; two granddaughters: Madison E. Houle of Attleboro, MA and Jessica M. Houle of Keene, NH; one great grandson: Cedric Mungeta of Keene, NH; his brothers:
Russell Busby and James Busby and his wife, Jan Busby of Norfolk, MA; a niece: Emily Rigdon and her husband, Will Rigdon of Franklin, MA; a nephew: Nick Carey of Decatur, Georgia.
A private family gathering will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Burial will be private.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future and an invitation will be extended to family and friends to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chapel at Outdoor Resorts, 214 Horizon Lane, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951.
